ازدواج خدیجه با پیامبر(صلى الله علیه وآله) چگونه بود چرا این ازدواج انجام گرفت و آیا واقعا خدیجه 15 سال از پیامبر بزرگ‏تر بوده است؟

در باره این ازدواج و مسائل پیرامون آن كه هنوز هم از مسائل بحث‏انگیز است، به نكات زیر دقت كنید:

1 مشهور است كه حضرت خدیجه‏علیها السلام در هنگام ازدواج، چهل ساله بوده است كه بدین ترتیب، پانزده سال از پیامبر خدا، بزرگ‏تر بوده است‏(1) اما با مراجعه به منابع دیگر تاریخى، در مى‏یابیم كه نظرات دیگرى درباره سن او در وقت ازدواج، وجود داشته است كه از آن جمله، مى‏توانیم به 25، 28، 30، 35، 44، 45، 46 اشاره كنیم كه در این میان، 28 ساله بودن وى، بیشتر مورد قبول است.(2) بدین ترتیب، تفاوت سنى او با پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله)، از حدود سه سال، بیشتر نمى‏شود.

2 از جریان علاقه و عشق خدیجه به پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) و گفته‏هاى او درمى‏یابیم كه این علاقه، بر محور ارزش‏هاى پاك انسانى بوده است بدون آن‏كه ذره‏اى مسائل مادى (همچون زیبایى پیامبر) مطرح باشد. حضرت خدیجه در یكى از اولین گفت‏وگوهاى خود با پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله)، علت علاقه خود را چنین بیان مى‏كند:

«انى رغبت فیك لقرابتك منى و شرفك فى قومك و امانتك عندهم و حسن خلقك و صدق حدیثك‏(3) من به تو علاقه‏مند شدم زیرا با من خویشاوندى در میان قومت، شریفى در نزد قبیله‏ات، به امانتدارى مشهورى داراى اخلاق نیك مى‏باشى و راستگو هستى».

3 خدیجه با حضرت محمد (صلى الله علیه وآله) خویشاوند بود و نسب هر دو، در قُصى، به هم مى‏رسید. او اطلاعاتى از آینده درخشان محمد (صلى الله علیه وآله) داشت‏(4) و علاقه‏مند به ازدواج با او بود.(5)

برخى از خاورشناسان- با استناد به امورى واهى- در صدد اثبات این نكته هستند كه پیامبر خدا به جهت اموال خدیجه، با او ازدواج كرد و حتى كار را به جایى رسانده‏اند كه با جعل داستان‏هایى دروغین، درصدد اثبات مدعاى خود برآمده‏اند و چنین گفته‏اند: آن حضرت (صلى الله علیه وآله) در آغاز، به خواستگارى دختر عمویش، هانى دختر ابوطالب رفت و عمویش به جهت فقر و نادارى او، این خواستگارى را به فال نیك نگرفت و پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) به جهت آن‏كه از ذلت فقر رهایى یابد، به سراغ خدیجه رفت.(6)

دیگرى چنین شایعه پراكنى كرده كه پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) به جهت تفاوت جایگاه اجتماعى خود با خدیجه (علیها السلام)، همیشه از این نكته بیم داشت كه خدیجه از او درخواست‏طلاق كند.(7)

در پاسخ به این شبهات، امور زیر، قابل ذكر است:

یكم. با مراجعه به منابع معتبر اسلامى، درمى‏یابیم كه این خدیجه بود كه در آغاز، به پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) علاقه‏مند شد و به وسایط مختلف، سعى در انجام این ازدواج داشت و حتّى حاضر به قبول مهریه در مال خود شد.

دوّم. داستان خواستگارى آن حضرت (صلى الله علیه وآله) از امّ هانى، در هیچ یك از منابع تاریخى نیامده و معلوم نیست كه «مرگلیوث»، آن را از كجا گرفته است.

سوّم. نوع برخورد ابوطالب با پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) در طول زندگانى خود- چه قبل از بعثت و چه بعد از آن- نشان دهنده بالاترین درجات فداكارى او درباره پیامبر مى‏باشد و طبیعى است كه چنین فرد فداكارى، هیچ گاه درخواست ازدواج حضرت با دخترش را رد نخواهد كرد.

چهارم. خطبه‏اى كه ابوطالب در مراسم عقد پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) با خدیجه ایراد كرد، به خوبى، نشان‏گر دیدگاه او درباره آن حضرت است. او در این خطبه، برادرزاده خود را چنین معرفى مى‏كند:

«ثم ان ابن اخى هذا (یعنى رسول‏اللّه) ممن لایوزن برجل من قریش اِلاَّ رجّح به ولایقاس به رجل اِلاَّ عَظُم عنه و لا عِدل له فى الخلق....(8) برادرزاده‏ام (رسول خدا)، از همه مردان قریش، برتر است و هر كس با او مقایسه شود، در مقایسه، كم مى‏آورد و او همانندى در میان مردم ندارد».

هنگامى كه عده‏اى سخن خدیجه (علیها السلام) را- كه مهریه را در مال خود قرار داده بود- به مسخره گرفته، با تعجب گفتند: چگونه زنان، مهریه را متعهد مى‏شوند؟ ابوطالب غضبناك شده، گفت: اگر مردى همانند برادرزاده‏ام باشد، او را با بیشترین مهر، خواستار مى‏شوند اما اگر مردى همانند یكى از شماها باشد، طبیعى است كه باید براى ازدواج، مهر سنگینى پرداخت كند.(9) بنابراین، از چنین شخصیتى، بسیار بعید است كه خواستگارى پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) را درباره دختر خود رد كند بلكه او این خواستگارى را بزرگ‏ترین افتخار براى خود خواهد دانست.

پنجم. نوع برخورد خدیجه (علیها السلام) با پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله)، نشان‏گر آن است كه همیشه صفا و صمیمیت و وفا و یگانگى در این خانواده، حكم‏فرما بوده است. خدیجه (علیها السلام) در دوران عبادت پیامبر (صلى الله علیه وآله) در غار حرا، همیشه مراقب آن حضرت (صلى الله علیه وآله) بود و بارها براى او غذا مى‏فرستاد.(10)

او همیشه آماده بود تا كوچك‏ترین تمایلات حضرت محمد (صلى الله علیه وآله) را- كه به زبان هم نمى‏آورد- به انجام رساند چنان كه وقتى دید آن حضرت (صلى الله علیه وآله) به زید بن حارثه- كه در آن هنگام به عنوان برده نزد خدیجه به سر مى‏برد- علاقه دارد، او را به حضرت رسول (صلى الله علیه وآله) بخشید.(11)

خدیجه، چنان آرامشى در فضاى خانه برقرار كرده بود كه برخى از مورخان به حق از آن، با عنوان «كان یسكن الیها یعنى در نزد خدیجه آرامش مى‏یافت»، یاد كرده‏اند.(12)
